another monitor question
i think i have it narrowed down to these 2...does anyone have them...I know summer infant makes great ones, but we have had many issues over the last 21 months so I want to try a different brand...thanks

I don't have experience with those two, but we just got done doing our research on the same topic, and my husband (a true tech/geek dad) was all but sold on the motorola you have listed. And then I found this option:

We ended up purchasing two of the cameras featured on this site but through Amazon for a little more than the price of one camera from nextstep.
We got them in the mail on Friday and DH set up the first one in DS's room that night and so far we love it. I got an app for my iphone and it has worked perfectly. It has a really clear picture, great audio, IR and PTZ.
If you are interested let me know and I'll let you know the Amazon seller we purchased from and the app I got for my phone. DH has an Andriod and he hasn't gotten an app yet but we'll probably experiment with that this week.
DH is a huge tech geek too and we saw that one, but DH does not have a smartphone, only I do...and my parents watch DS sometimes and tehy don't have one either......DH can't have his phone at work so he basically doesn't have it all week so we have not paid for him to get one...it is cool though:-)
