So, I have a 15 month old. Growing molars. I was up ALL night and finally got a nap in this evening when he was finally out for 4 hours. Shortly after he awoke he was in cuddle mode and ran up to me to try and lay on my chest. In the process he put his fist & a great deal of weight on my lower abdomen and tried to climb me.
Needless to say it scared the hell out of me.
He is SO active and squirmy. He likes to kick while being diapered. I am nervous about how often he bounces and kicks when I am holding him.
Possibly paranoia here, but I tend to worry about every little thing since I have miscarried before.
About an hour after waking up I got the chills and hot flashes. This has been happening for about 4 days. My entire lower half, hips down, felt like jelly. I had to lay down. For the 1st time in this pregnancy I thought I was going to start heaving. Then my body started shaking. My husband got home 15 minutes after this started and I asked him to feel if my skin was as ice cold as I thought it was. He said my body was burning up and I was pouring sweat.
SCARY STUFF!
I immediately ate a snack and then got a good dinner in me and an hour and a half later things seemed normal again. WTH?
. . . Then I had to pee. lol
BTW - Anyone exhausted but already suffering from MAJOR insomnia?
& Thank you all for allowing me to vent.
Re: Rough symptoms & my toddler is freaking me out! :(
I have a 19 month old who's also teething and not sleeping (her "fangs" are coming in). So, I feel your pain on the insomnia thing. I haven't been sleeping well even when I get the chance so I'm basically a walking zombie. People don't know I'm pregnant yet so I keep getting the 'you look exhausted" comment which really means "you look like shittt." I know I do. LOL
She's also very active, squirmy, kicks me when i change her diaper....all in the belly. In fact this morning she was laying on my belly. The baby is VERY well protected in your uterus, so I wouldn't worry too much about the occasional toddler punch to the gut or him lying on your belly, but try to keep it to a minimum. I always try to keep DD away from that area if possible. When she starts kicking I move my body back a little bit and tell her "no" which never works. LOL. Your body will tell you when what's happening isn't ok, and maybe that's what you experienced. Just go with what your body feels is right. If your toddler lying on your belly is making you feel uncomfortable, then just move him.
Good luck and I hope you get some sleep soon!
