WWYD: pumping while traveling

I'll be traveling away from LO for about 5 days. Would you recommend bringing both my manual pump and electric or just the manual. We'll be at Disneyworld so taking an electric pump is a bit of a logistical nightmare in the parks, so I'll use the manual pump then. My electric pump doesn't run off of batteries as far as I can tell, it's an old PIS from a friend. That and carrying it around would be a hassle. Luckily DD feeds from one side at each feeding, with the exception of her night time feedings. So if I'll be using the electric for just a few sessions at night, would it be worth it to bring it? 

If I should bring the electric pump, should I check it our carry it on? Would I get hassled about it at security?

    I would probably bring just the manual, but only if I knew that it wouldn't drive me crazy to only have that one available. If it would, I would bring both. I would probably pack it but at security they wouldn't give you much hassle although you would likely need to take it out of the carryon for them to swab it for bomb residue.

    I'm an EPer so I would definitely bring mine. I flew last month and had no problem bringing it through security, they never asked what it was or anything. I brought it as carry on because I would have been screwed if my luggage was lost with the pump inside.

    Even though you don't EP, if you pump at all now, you might want to bring it so you don't mess with your supply by changing your routine. Also you might appreciate being able to give LO bottles while in a strange place. I'd probably leave it in the hotel to use before and after the parks.

    I would bring both if it were me. I EP though. I just brought mine in my carry on bag on the airplane since I had to pump during the flight. Had no trouble with security.

    security will give you no trouble about either the pump or any expressed milk you bring back.  just declare loudly "that bag contains breastmilk" before it goes through the scanner so that they don't freak out and so they can summon a female security person.  they will accommodate you.  different airports have different procedures when it comes to examining the milk.  some have just visually examined it.  other airports have taken each bag of frozen milk out of my bag and put it in a machine to test for explosives.  etc.  etc.  just be polite but direct.

    I would bring both.  Manual pumping is not very effective for me, so having the electric would be essential.  I had no problems bringing my pump through security.  Definitely bring it as a carryon though.
