DD has been at the same daycare since she was 4 months old, she's almost 3 now. The 3rd director since we started just quit/got fired (and the 4th or 5th Assistant Director got fired last week). The teachers have all stayed mostly the same, but its funny b/c seriously its like the old time parents and teachers just work directly w/ each other and don't involve the administration at all. It works, but at the same time, I think a good administrator could help so much and just provide more continuity. I debate whether I want to move DD b/c of all this, b/c it just smacks of poor management, but I do like the teachers and she has built strong bonds with her friends there too and I have become good friends w/ some of the other parents too - so it would be very disruptive to move her now.
Re: does your daycare center have a lot of administrative turnover?
We've only been at this center for 1 year, but so far, there has been no administrative turnover. 1 year isn't very long though.
I wonder why your location is different. ...
I don't have any recommendations, but we looked into said daycare and it was in the top 3, so this is good to know!
