Would you name a boy London or Paris?

I'm not considering these names but I'm curious to know what everyone else thinks. According to BabyNames.com both names London and Paris are unisex. I know plenty of girls name London and Paris but never met a boy.

This. I actually kind of like Paris for a boy, but I definitely wouldn't use it.

Also, Khloe Kardashian mentioned last season that she wants to name a son London.

  • Uhm, neither.

  • I think either could be unisex (though Paris is trending feminine recently).  Personally, I would never use either on a child.  Or a dog for that matter.

I know a little girl named Londyn, however, which is just wretched.

  • I went to Middle School with a London. He was a boy. And I thought his name was weird. But, I'm not into naming people after other nouns - places, colors, seasons, flowers, etc.

Didn't she even date a guy named Paris?

I find London to be feminine, but no rhyme or reason why. Paris can go either way.

  • I like Paris for a boy more so than a girl, but I love Homer. London, it's pretentious on either sex, but I wouldn't cringe or think it's too feminine.

  • I love London, boy or girl, but probably a little more feminine for me

I also think Paris is a great name, and unisex to me, unfortunately I'd never want my offspring likened to Paris Hilton, so it's out

That's okay, I like it too! ;) But I like it for a girl.

I wouldn't name a boy Paris either. I only know female Paris'. Perhaps that's why. It sounds pretty feminine.

  • Paris was a boy in Romeo and Juliet. (The one Juliet got fixed up with by her parents, but she didn't like him.) I wouldn't use that one because of Ms. Hilton. POSSIBLY, maybe Perris, but NMS.

London, yes I would name a boy this. Maybe Jack London ___ after the author, though.

Exactly.  Paris was a man's name.  I liked this name for boys and girls until Paris became infamous.  Yuck.
