tomorrow is my 45th bday

I'm literally the oldest mom here, but I'm still quite excited to finally be a mom now and I have more reason to celebrate holidays and bdays.

 I'm sure I'll be doing something nice for my bday, perhaps a nice dinner. We'll see.

 The one thing I'm not looking forward to is hearing from one of my so called best friends who has not see my LO yet or sent any sort of card or nothing. I can clearly predict that she will email me on my bday, like she always does, and finally ask me about my LO.  I think it's just plain disappointing and there's no excuse. Anyway, I'm not letting that spoil my day! DANGIT!...

 

After 7 years of marriage and 5 unsuccessful IVFs, we have been granted the gift of adopting a baby boy, born 4/21/11.

    Aw, hon... Just ignore her. People are self-absorbed. It's hard not to take it personally, but they usually don't mean to be jerks. ;)

    Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
    LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
    LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
    Life is beautiful!
