Soon to be Mommy - Fort Lauderdale, FL

Hello. 

I'm expecting!  I'm 5 wks and I'm seeking a doctor with a holistic approach to a natural birth in the Fort Lauderdale/Plantation Area.

I also seeking a mid-wife and doula, who also support natural birth plans.

    there are a couple posts below on this that I referred Dr Vivian Keeler of Amazing Births and Beyond.  (954) 456-0850 She is a doula and hypnobirthing instructor. (I highly recommend you take her Hypnobirthing class) She would absolutely be able to direct you to an OB open to natural birthing in Ft Laud.  Their site has a list of resources if you scroll down on the right of the page...it has some a rec for Broward county

    Lina - thank you for the referral! We found out we were expecting while we were (still are) up in Connecticut for the summer. I'm a little overwhelmed with finding the natural approach while I'm up here, and for obvious reasons can't visit any of the hospitals or OB's until I get back down south. I have to start somewhere and Dr Keeler sounds like a great place to start! Thanks again!

    You are so welcome! Congrats!  You will love Vivan and she will direct you to where you need to go.  Her hypnobirthing class is awesome.  She is also an amazing doula :)

    I did the Bradley Method of Natural Childbirth and I found it really helpful. There's a class in Coral Springs taught by Tracy Pericht. www.ourbeautifulbirth.com

    My midwife was absolutely fantastic. She's from Women's Healthpartners in Boca (totally worth the drive). Her name is Terry DiFelippo and there are 2 other midwives in her practice that are just as great. They don't do homebirths but they deliver at Boca Regional Hospital (again totally worth the drive - I'm in East Fort Lauderdale and this was by far the most natural birth friendly hospital I found!). 

    My doula was Lorie McCoy from Amazing Births. She's the owner of Amazing Births and was wonderful and I highly recommend her. I just posted her info on another post asking for natural birth info.  (561) 988.5351 https://amazingbirthsandbeyond.com

    I can co-sign on Terry DiFelippo she is my midwife as well and is absolutely ah-mazing!!! Very informative, conforting and open to your plans and what you and your husband want.
