Cancelled my RE appt (not because of a BFP)

DH and I met with an RE once after 10 mos of trying, she ran a 7DPO test on me (progesterone ok at 5.5) and a SA for DH (not so pretty, see sig), and then recommended we have another SA done in a month (which DH has yet to do) and come see her after our official year mark (which we hit this month).

I cancelled the appointment (we had scheduled one for October) today. It was a rough thing to do, for me. I'm not good with not being in control of a situation, and I'm certainly not in control of this one. I cancelled it because DH and I are paying completely OOP for everything, and racked up $400 after the first visit. We decided to pay off some credit card bills before we start in on IF debts. I also couldn't justify spending another $280 on an appointment when DH isn't ready to spend $35 for another SA.

I'm sad today...not as sad as I have been other days, but sad nonetheless. It feels like we're stuck, a little.

    :( That sucks...I can only imagine how difficult that must be.  Sending positive vibes your way.

    I'm so sorry. MH and I know from personal experience how financially detrimental IF treatments can be. Sounds like you made the mature decision. I hope you get to go back to it soon, if that's what you want.

    I understand how you feel. My DH and I are OOP as well, and after testing and our 1st clomid cycle with the RE back in April, we decided to take a break. It was the right decision for us because we need to save some money and pay off some bills. My DH has since got a new job and he has been traveling a lot, so we are stuck for a while longer until his traveling slows down.

    I am sorry you are sad. Try and treat yourself today if you can.
