I had a growth ultrasound because I have GD and DS2 is weighing about 3lbs 6oz. DD was 6 days late and only weighed 6lbs 3oz. DS1 was 5 days early (repeat c-section) at barely weighed 6lbs. I'm guessing the new little guy is going to be below the 6lbs mark.
I was hoping he'd be bigger than his sister, but we're having another repeat c-section at exactly 39 weeks and I just don't see him gaining that much in the next 8 weeks.
I love my tiny babies!
Re: Looks like I'm going to have another tiny baby!
I'll trade you! DD2 weighed in at 8 lbs 12 oz and they've already commented on how big he is. I don't have GD and have only gained 8 lbs the whole pregnancy. We're guessing he's going to top the 9lb mark!
What percentile did that put you in?
How's this for a big baby? My sister had her baby at 36 weeks due to low fluid and blood pressure issues, and he weighed 9 lbs, 9 oz. Can you imagine 4 more weeks??
Yeah, I was 6 lbs 10 oz and 6 WEEKS early. I would have been massive. My mother's family always has 9lb+ babies, so mine are considered on the small side. And, thanks to my husbands genes, they are super long. Miriam (DD2) was in 0-3 months for about 6 weeks until she outgrew them length wise!
NO! I already have back pain with my tiny baby. I can't imagine carrying around that much baby! He's in the 22nd percentile.
Yeah, I don't want that big of a baby. My DD is really tall now, but she didn't start running that way until after she was 6 months old.
Oh, and my birth weight was at 4 weeks late (cause they let you do that back then, which is crazy!) although I think someone seriously miscalculated my Mom's due date!
DD2 measured 3 lbs 1 oz at our 30/31 week u/s and we had another one yesterday--4 lbs 5 oz now and she's in the 8th percentile. Looks like we'll both be having small babies (but at least yours is a bit bigger than mine)!
