ovualtion issue!

in Trying to Get Pregnant

I have been off the pill for 5 months after having been on it for 15 years.  I am having a regular period, but according to OPK sticks, I am not ovulation....can you be regular and not ovulate and if so, how do I kick ovulation into gear?

    Do you temp? Taking your temp everyday will tell you whether or not you are ovulating. It is possible to still ovulate and never get a + OPK

    Some people ovulate and never get a +opk. It's very easy to miss your LH surge. Try testing at least twice a day. I always did first morning urine and the suggested time of 2-4pm. Even if it was + 2 mornings in a row I have never ever gotten a + in the afternoons.

    Also, look into charting your temps. It really is the only possible way to confirm ovulation at home. Check out fertilityfriend.com and do their tutorials to learn how to chart properly.

    It can also depend what time of day you test; some women test twice a day.

    OPKs are not for everyone.

    I O'd every cycle (thanks to charting my temps).  However, I tried OPKs for 5 straight months and never got a positive.   I finally got a positive on the 6th month and then I quit them altogether.   I believe I just had a short surge and missed it a lot.
