I'm trying to figure out if I need two gliders/chairs. I nursed DD a lot in the glider and we use it daily for storytime. Do I need one for both rooms or do you not use it with your older child?
What do you have double of in each room to make your life easier?
Re: Do you have double items in both rooms?
We ended up getting a second glider. We still use DS1's daily for reading/snuggle time before bed...I just couldn't take it out of his room, so we got another.
We pretty much have 2 of everything -- 2 cribs, 2 gliders, 2 changing pads (on dressers, not changing tables), etc. DS1 isn't ready for a toddler bed yet, so we knew we'd need another crib.
We did get a 2nd glider.
We moved the nice one into #2's room and got a cheap one at a garage sale that I re-covered for the older child's room.
We read stories in their rooms every night and STILL use both of the chairs as we alternate rooms. I've also been beyond grateful to have a chair in each room on nights when one of them was sick and needed Mommy cuddles.
I didn't get a 2nd changing pad because I could easily change #1 on the floor at that point.
2nd crib = best money I've ever spent.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
We got a second Poang (I prefer it to the glider which we actually moved downstairs and rarely use - we're going to sell it as soon as our families are done visiting with this little one and we don't need as much seating). Other than that and dressers, we don't have double of anything. We moved DS to an IKEA small bed at 18 months so his crib is empty now and just waiting for DD who will move from the cosleeper to the crib between 1 and 6 months. We only change DS on the floor now so DD's room gets the changing table.
DS just turned 2 and DD is 2 weeks.
