Did you look around for an OBGYN?

I'm just wondering if you stuck with the OB you've been seeing, or if you did any research to try to find 'the best, most recommended' in your area?

  • I initially stayed with my original OB, but switched when i was about 12 weeks along. I didn't feel like the original practice took me seriously and I felt more like a number to them. I was much happier with the 2nd practice .

  • I switched to a larger practice based on the recommendation of a friend. My doctor at the time was not delivering babies.

  • I've stayed with the OB/GYN I've had since 2003.  I love my doctor and so far I've had appointments with the mid-wife and one of the other 3 doctors in the practice and really like him too.

The practice like their pregnant patients to see everyone so if your doctor isn't on call or available when you go into labor you won't have to see someone you've never met.  Because it could be a bit awkward- "Hi nice to meet you now let me just take a peak at you vagina..."  lol
