We're trying to start transitioning to the sippy cups. DD hasn't really taken to any of ours. (we had a couple from the shower, and my cousin handed down a couple that her son didn't like). So, before we go out and buy one of every kind to try, what brand/style worked for you? Did you use one of the "trainer" cups first before the regular sippy?
TIA!
Re: Recommend your sippy cup
DD liked the Nuk trainer cups with handles at first, but now prefers the cheap Take and Toss ones.
DS liked the Avent ones with the soft spout and handles but never could get the hang of tipping it upside down. He does much better with a straw cup (you can see if your LO would be good with a straw cup by letting her try a regular straw).
We like the Tommee Tippee straw cups like this: https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3918116
And the Playtex ones like this: https://www.amazon.com/Playtex-Insulated-Twist-Click-Straw/dp/B001R1I44U

These are the only ones the girls were successful at using properly.
Unable to even.

You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK. Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.
The only sippy cups we've had success with are the cheapo "Take and Toss" ones that come in a pack of seven. I wish I hadn't spent so much money on more expensive ones and tried these first! https://www.thefirstyears.com/product/detail/Y4397A4?locale=en_US
Connor didn't like the spill proof ones or straw ones because he didn't understand that he needed to suck to get liquid out. The Take and Toss ones just have tiny little holes in the spout so a little bit comes out on it's own which helped him figure them out quick. I like the shorter ones -- they're so easy for him to hold onto.
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.
