Heavy cramping at 5 weeks

Hello, I am currently a ttcal poster but my friend is 5 weeks along and experiencing heavy cramping with NO bleeding.  Has anyone experienced this before?  Is it normal?  I did not have this with either if my pregnancies so I am no help to her.  I told her it is the cervix and uterus changing, to take some tylenol, rest and if she notices any bleeding to let me know.

 Any advise?

    Your friend should definitely call her doctor.  It might be nothing, but might be something more serious like an ectopic pregnancy.  Better safe than sorry.

    If she starts bleeding I would suggest she lets her doctor know, not you. Period like cramping is generally normal, I'd be concerned if it was anything heavier than that. Heck, if she has cramping and she is worried then she should just pick up the phone and call her doctor. Thats what they are there for.
