Question about Ultrasounds?

I just had my routine 19 week ultrasound yesterday (8-15-11) and the ultrasound tech told us everything looked perfect!  Then my doctor tells me that they could not get a good picture of the heart, so i will have another ultrasound next month!  It scares me because i clearly see her looking at the heart on my DVD of the Ultrasound!  Dr says he is not worried because everything else looks good, but i also declined the screening test, because the Dr says they has more false positives than they do actuall positives and he onlyn knows of like one or 2 that were accurate (and he is older)

So my question is, should i be scared or do you think they may have seen something and dont want to scare me until they know!  I am 33 and this is my third pregnancy and its been 7 years since my last!  Someone please share your thoughts -good or bad, i just wonder if i should see a specialist or something!  I know i am freaking out a little more than i should, but you never know with Dr's (if they are trying to cause you less stress by not telling the real story or if he really is not worried!  help!!  ( i see Dr Martin at OBGYN & ASSOCIATES in Montgomery, also this ultrasound tech is relatively new to Montgomery- think she is Military)

I wouldn't worry about it.  If they were honestly worried, they wouldn't wait a month to get you in for another scan.  I had to have my anatomy scan re-done three times because baby was always in a bad position where they just couldn't get the right pictures they needed.  I just came in a month later at my next scheduled visit since it wasn't anything they were concerned about, just wanted another try to get the picture.  At that visit, they STILL couldn't get it, so I had it done again at my next visit a month later.  Then they finally got a good enough view to call it a day.  I wouldn't be concerned.

Honestly I think it's very easy to not get a clear enough picture sometimes.  I wouldn't worry (I know easier said than done) and just go get the repeat next month.  If there is something wrong they will tell you then, and give you any further instructions/advice...and my personal opinion is if they seriously thought something was majorly wrong then I would think they'd get you back in for another u/s quicker than a month, know what I mean?  So I would think that it's simply what they said in that they didn't get a clear enough picture like they'd like :)  Keep us updated and good luck!

Definitely do not be worried! It took three ultrasounds for our little one to be still enough for the tech to get a good view of his heart. They?re just checking to make sure that all four chambers are looking right. If the baby?s moving too much or is at an odd angle they just want to re-check to make certain. If they?d had any concerns they would have told you as they want that baby healthy also! Try to enjoy having another ultrasound as some women seem to have very few of them. We?ve been very fortunate and had several. It?s amazing to watch how much they grow even in a matter of weeks!

I see Dr. Martin too and he seems pretty good. Im 12 weeks and I havent had an ultrasound. He hasnt even asked did I want one but I guess I will have one around 19 weeks. I think everything will be ok. Try not to think negative.
