my baby was head down, but then decided to flip over a couple weeks ago. so now, her legs are down. will she have to flip back to head down before she drops.
My LO is breech too. He flipped two weeks ago. A colleague recommended scrubbing the kitchen floor on all fours this weekend. Might try it, but we have already scheduled a c-section.
he/she may still drop..you may even go into labor or have your water break..just depends on how your kiddo fits into your pelvis that way.
mine is breech..but is so high and predicted to be large that i'd bet he wont ever drop..unless he flipped to vertex...but i highly doubt that happening...we scheduled a c-section already
Mine is still breeched and if she is still at my 37 week appt this week, doctor is scheduling a procedure to try to help her turn. I'm surprised at how many c-sections are scheduled already and that nobody else is getting the procedure to turn. I heard they can turn as late as 38 weeks. I would think the dropping would still occur but not sure.
I think dropping can still occur. However, I would suggest taking a look at spinningbabies.com for some suggestions on getting LO to flip. They work from experience. As my doc said at my appt last week, if they have room to get into that position, they have room to get themselves back out. Both my LO's flipped multiple times between 32 week and 38 weeks (this one is still flipping back and forth). I too can't believe some people already have c/s scheduled without trying a version first (or maybe they have already tried but didn't say). It's never even been suggested to me yet even when he was transverse at last week's appt (I got him to flip with the exercises at spinningbabies though).

I am having a u/s at 37.5 weeks to see how big she is and then they will decide on c-section. So far they werent too concerned about her being upside down. They hoped that she would flip back.
DS dropped while he was breech. We tried a version, acupuncture, spinning babies etc and nothing worked. This one keeps flipping between transverse and vertex and has not dropped at all. I had side effects from the spinal last time, so I don't want an urgent csection if I come in in labor and she's transverse because my side effects would Likely be worse, so I'm scheduled for a repeat csection next week.
Although my section is scheduled, I hope he flips. I am trying several things. I cannot go past my RCS scheduled date because of my GD anyway...so that's why we scheduled it already.
I'm fixing to scrub my kitchen floors this weekend!

I cant speak for others..but I chose to schedule my c-section.. I'm a l/d nurse..and the dr basically said 'so whats the plan' and I said I wanted to go ahead and schedule a c-section..if for some reason baby flips, we'll not do this..obviously..however, he is large..and has been breech the entire time and has one leg in my pelvis and the other by his head...i refused an external version because i know the risks..and based on my baby's position, etc..it's not the safest choice for us.

We are not doing the version because of the success rate vs risks. I did the exercises and she went head down but eventually flipped back up and dropped. My OB was trying to avoid a RCS for me but it's highly unlikely at 39 weeks with her as low as she is that she would be able to flip.
With DS#1 he was breech and dropped so low in my pelivs that I was already dilated 4 cm when I went in to try an ECV. So yes, they can still drop into your pelvis depending on how they are laying. Obviously when they do that it gets harder and harder to flip!
Re: if baby is breach, will she/he still drop?
IF she flips down you will be lucky.
