What do you think of Rose Evelyn?

So, I think DH and I are agreed on a girl's name: Rose Evelyn.

Rose was my great grandmother's name and a lot of females (including myself) have Rose as a middle name, but no one has it as first name, so I think it would be really nice.

Evelyn is DH's grandmother's name.

Love the nn Rosie!

What do you guys think? Too old fashioned or timeless and classic?

UPDATE: Evelyn Rose is not an option. I do not like Evelyn enough to use as a first name.

Great choice and love the ties to it, I personally like the sound of Evelyn Rose better, its easier for my mouth to say. Although 99% of the time you wont be calling out her middle name. Love the NN Rosie :-) it reminds me of the cute little baby from the kids movie, "A Troll in Central Park".

I think it is nice. Personally I really prefer Evelyn over Rose, even though Rose is fine.

As PP said, I'd go with Evelyn Rose and call her Rose/Rosie. It just flows better, imo.

Rose Evelyn is nice, I agree with pp, I think Evelyn Rose flows much better. I know you said that is out of the question, but that is just my .02.

I love it all. Rosie as a nn, Rose as an "old lady" first name because I happen to love old lady names! I think it's timeless and classic and like pps have said, you don't see Rose much as a first name. It's lovely.
