Baby Jogger Citi Mini discontinued?

I have a Buy Buy Baby registry and I just received an email that the stroller we picked, the City Mini, is being discontinued. I thought this was a top stroller? I'm wondering if we should buy it ourselves now before it's gone, or wait to see what else there is. Anyone know anything about this?

    I haven't heard of that. Maybe it's just the color you were registered for?

    I think it's all colors. The email said:

    The Baby Jogger City Mini Single Stroller (black, green, stone, crimson, purple and orange) that you registered for has been discontinued and is available while supplies last. Please click here to view our large selection of stroller travel systems for other options and follow the directions below to update your registry.

    Maybe it is just at BBB? Or maybe the email was a mistake? So frustrating.

    On the Baby Jogger website all of the strollers are listed with two tone color options, were they previously sold in one solid color? If so maybe that is the change?

    I haven't received any emails (I am registered at BRU), and I can't find anything online... so hopefully it was a mistake!

    I registered for the same stroller but haven't received anything about it being discontinued.  I'll let you know if I get anything too.

    I hope not! I have not gotten any emails regarding this but I also registered at BRU-  What color did you register for?  I see a few of us that have registered for the BJCM.  That would be a big bummer!! I have heard such great things about this stroller I would probably go to BRU and buy the 1 I saw over the weekend lol

    I got the same email! I just added it to my BRU registry and am hoping for the best. I wonder if BBB is just not carrying it anymore.

    My guess is they are discontinuing the 2011 and getting ready to bring in the 2012s. Thats what typically happens.

    I got an email from them too and have been trying to do research on it! I haven't found anything though and it's for all the colors! I was hoping someone would have bought it for us by now, but now I'm thinking that maybe I should buy it myself. Not sure if we should get it now or hold off and find a new stroller when we actually need it!?

    I received a similar email from BBB saying that the 2011 models are being discontinued.  Baby Jogger is indeed coming out with a new version of the City Mini in 2012 as well as a new stroller called the Versa.  Here is a link with some information:

    I was told by the salesman that they are like cars.  They come out with new features every year.  They are discontinuing the 2011 models and adding a more sturdy backrest to the 2012's.

     We are registered for the 2011 Citi Mini also...but either one would work for us!  I just want to make sure they offer the same colors (which the salesman didn't mention anything about that changing).
