  I actually really like Desmond, it transfers well into adulthood.  I think it sounds good with Andrew as well.

  I'm obviously in the minority here, but I think Desmond sounds a little effete.  I like the other names on your list better.

  We love Desmond but realized sadly we cannot use it with Linus... lol. It took us a minute to make the LOST correlation but I knew they sounded familiar together.

  I really dislike Desmond as a fn because it is a really common last name in my area.  I am not on the last-name-as-a-first-name bandwagon.

  I like your list. Some were on my short list for DS.

  My thoughts on Desmond: Tutu. Since I have never met one in real life I think of the apartheid opponent Bishop Desmond Tutu.

  Thats actually where I got the name from.  I saw a quote of his on Pinterest and I feel in love... with both the quote and the name!

  Hehe well my other son's name is Nolan so I guess it sort of fits the theme of "might be a first name, might be a last name" names
