Newbie-first time TTC

Hi,

 I'm new here and my wife and I are starting with an IUI sometime in the next few days.  I just wanted to know if you had any advice?  We are doing the IUI in the doctor's office and I can't help but think it'll work the first time, which I know is unlikely, but I can't help myself.

 Thoughts?

    Welcome.  There is a FAQs post linked at the top of the page.  I would suggest starting there to see if it answers some basic questions.

    Good luck!  We just started the process in August.  My wife also sort of convinced herself I would get pregnant the first time, but...I didn't.  We're waiting to see if #2 worked.
    Married my wife 8/2007 ~ TTC #1 since 7/2011
    9 IUIs = 9 BFNs
    IVF October 2012: 22 eggs retrieved, 17 fertilized, 5 frozen
    ET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Blighted ovum discovered at 7w5d; D&E
    FET #1: 1 blast = BFP; Missed m/c discovered at 9w5d; D&E
    Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal
    FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31!
    EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14

    Good luck! Don't be discouraged if the first time doesn't work - it took us four times over six months. Then again, it's got to work for someone the first time around, right? I hope it works for you. Smile
