How long was your hospital stay?

DS was really sick when he was born so they discharged me in under 24hours post-op so that I could go to him in the NICU (which was 2hrs away). It was probably too soon for me to leave but I wouldn't have admitted that then. Hopefully this time around LO#2 will not have an issue that would send him to the NICU.

I had both boys on Mondays. With Aidan I stayed until Friday. With Lucas I stayed until Thursday evening.

I had my son at 9:53 pm on a Thursday night and we went home at noon the following Sunday morning

My c/s was on Thursday and I could have gone home on Sunday but DD had jaundice so they didn't discharge me until Monday. DD had to stay one additional night and was discharged Tuesday night so we stayed in the peds unit with her.

Two nights (DS was born at 11:19am on a Friday, I left before lunchtime on Sunday). It was only because I basically begged to go home... plus my midwives would come to check me at home for my appointments during the first two weeks (every other day for the first week, and I think it was twice during the second week).

I went in for an induction @ 9am on a Saturday morning (baby was born 8:46 Sunday morning) and left @ about 2 on a Wednesday (but I had the option to stay for another day if I wanted. Those beds were so unccomfortable & I couldn't get sleep w/the nurses in & out so I went home @ the earliest I could!)

DD was born at 3:34 Wed. afternoon, and I went home Fri. morning. It was probably a day too soon, but I wanted to leave. I was pretty sore after the drive home, though.

My water broke Mon night, I had DD Tues at noon, and left Fri at noon

DD1 was an unplanned c/s after 12 hours of labor. I had her at 9pm Monday and went home Thursday morning.

DD2 was "planned" though I did go into labor with her and had to have the c/s early. I had her at 9pm on a Thursday and was home Saturday afternoon.

6 days. I had DS on a Saturday and left on a thursday. I only stayed that long because my ds was in the nicu and my insurance covers 4 nights and I was allowed to stay the 5th night in my room as what the hospital calls "boarding." since I knew my ds was coming home the next day.
