I
stopped nursing two weeks ago when I simultaneously went back to work
and got sick and had to take an antibiotic that wasn't safe for
breastfeeding. I really regret not sticking through it and pumping and
dumping just to keep my supply. Is it too late to start nursing again?
Anyone know if my milk will come back if I nurse and pump like crazy?
Any tips or suggestions?
Re: Will my milk come back after 2 weeks?
Plenty of women are successful at re-lactating! I definitely think it could be possible for you since it's only been two weeks.
Check out what kellymom.com has to say: https://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/relactation.html

yes you can.
I actually know someone who used a surrogate to have her baby. well she was able to take something that made her lactate and she is now breastfeeding her baby.
I would talk to your ob or pediatrician or llc and ask what you can do.
I would hold your little one close and see if they take the boob. I would also try to pump and see what happens.
good luck
Thanks everyone.
Pook, where did you buy the fenugreek?
I nursed LO once and he was content for about 5 minutes, so I think he was getting something. A few hours later I pumped and got 1.5 oz!! I was really happy with that. It gave me hope to keep at it. LO's 4 month checkup is Tuesday, so I will definitely talk to his pedi, too.
you can get Fenugreek at Walgreens.
I ordered mine from Amazon, because it was super cheap, but you should be able to get it from any natural grocery store (Earth Fare, Whole Foods, etc.).

My Walgreens and CVS didn't have it, but I got it for $6 or so at GNC.
