Although I'm planning to try to breastfeed AND this isn't sold in US yet, I got SUPER excited about this in the Baby Talk magazine I got today. It's like a Keurig for formula, says it mixes and warms a bottle in less than a minute. Has anyone seen this thing? It's called the BabyNes and made by Nestle. They just started selling it in Switzerland a few months ago, so maybe it will be here by the time our LO's are here!
Me (33). DH (37). DD (2.2012). MCs x4. After 4 years & 7 months, due 4.2018!
Re: It's like a Keurig for baby bottles!!!!
Agreed to everything you just said lol!! I'm planning on BFing and was trying to figure out how I could use this thing. I guess if BFing doesn't work out, we've got this to look forward to - as long as it's sold in the US by then!

That's awesome! Too bad you can't put breastmilk in it.
I can't even imagine how expensive those little pods are. Formula is ridiculously expensive and so are those coffee pods so these have to be crazy expensive!!
Looks neat, but it would suck royally if you invested all the money in the system and pods and that type of formula didn't work for your baby. Would you be able to buy the same kind of formula in other forms (powder, RTF) to sample first and for when you need to leave the house and can't cart that thing around? That would be an important thing. Maybe they are just pods of the Nestle Good Start formulas?
If it's only available in select baby stores and pharmacies and online in Switzerland now, even if it comes to the US, it would be a looong time before it would ever be something convenient for me in a small town with no Babies R Us or brand name pharmacies, I'm sure the pods are expensive enough without adding shipping onto that too. I never heated bottles anyway, so pouring the powder in and shaking or just pouring out of the RTF bottle is just as quick.
Good news is that even though that product isn't available here, you could always get the Beaba version

The Beaba looks better since you can use any kind of powdered formula that would be a lot cheaper than pods and it says it can heat breast milk and baby food too. Still a lot of money for something you can achieve with a cup of hot water or a $20 bottle warmer, though.
