Short Term Disability Insurance

If you got short term disability insurance for your pregnancy, which company did you go with?  I'm afraid it's too late for me as I am already in my second trimester, but just in case it's not, I'd like to look into it.  Google isn't helping me to find companies that provide individual short term disability insurance in MA.

    Mine was through my health benefits from my job.  But the company was Prudential..  You can try contacting them directly.  I dont know if they write STD for individuals or if they only provide through company benefits.

    I searched high and low for a supplemental STD Policy and was told by all providers that they do not offer them in MA. The closest I came was AFLAC, but you have to get your Employer to offer it as a resource - no cost to them.

    As you are already in your 2nd trimester this pregnancy would be excluded as a pre-existing condition...Sorry no good news...

    Thanks all.  I called the town I work for to ask about it and the person who answered wasn't sure, so they're going to get back to me.  I'm sure I won't qualify because it's too late, but it'll be good information to have for next time :)
