tampons question

So.. I am 7 weeks pp and I am pretty sure I am on my period. I am so tired of using just a pad.. they are sloshy and messy and I SO want to use a tampon. Do you think its ok now? I know they didnt want you to use one when you were having lochia.. but I am pretty sure this is a period.

    this.  but if it is sore or sensitive in any way i would stop using it.

    This, and a possible TMI:  I had to change brands after DD was born.  I used to use the tampax pearl, but they were seriously uncomfortable after having her, so now I use the playtex.  Just an FYI.

    Call your OB.  I had some additional PP bleeding about 3-4 weeks after DS was born and I asked if I could use tampons instead of pads.  They said yes.
