We haven't started yet either, planning to start after we discuss it w/the pedi @ LO's 6 month appointment (pedi didn't even mention it @ our 4 month appt).
We want to wait for 6 months be he seems interested... I'm still having trouble deciding if I want to start with a veggie or cereal ... I guess I have a month to figure it out
Not starting until 6 months and we're skipping baby food. I didn't decide on this until recently, after researching baby-led weaning.
With DD1 we gave her baby food and cereal right at 4 months and she loved it! But the transition from baby food to real food was awful and to this day she is the pickiest eater (she seriously only eats 4 things...ugh!) I'm hoping BLW will prevent the pickiness this time around.
We were planning on waiting until 6 months for it, but the pedi recommended at his 5 month appt (we were behind on his 4 mon appt due to vacations) that we go ahead and start, since he seems developmentally ready and his growth has slowed down and isn't quite where she'd like it to be. But she did make it clear that it was to be in addition to his normal nursing, not as a replacement for it.

We're waiting until 6 months, as well. I made some bananas last week (or maybe it was 2 weeks ago) and froze them, so I will probably spoon feed her for the first feeding or two, then perhaps try some food in the mesh feeder. I got so excited and bought a ton of stuff (containers, spoons, etc) for making/feeding purees, so I don't want it to be a waste, but I am leaning more toward BLW each day.

We aren't starting until 6 months either. DS is thriving currently and our Dr recommends waiting u tik 6 months so we are. I'm excited to watch him try new things, but he will eat solids for the rest of his life so I'm in no rush.

My DD is a little over 5 1/2 months and we've started, so far she's had some rice cereal and some squash. She was VERY ready to start, leaning forwards toward the spoon, opening her mouth for the food, reaching for the spoon so she can put it in her mouth and she gobbles everything right up too! Her main source of food is still breast milk but I thought I'd try to see if she'd start on anything else and to my suprise, she's loved everything so far! I don't plan on really starting it up until she's six months, just wanted to do a trial run to start off with.
We started at 4ms then stopped after her first sweet potatoes didn't digest. So we waited until she turned 6ms and are doing BLW and she is doing great.
We started giving our son rice cereal at 5 mos and he seems to like it. We can't tell sometimes if some actually gets down b/c it likes to dribble out of his mouth a lot but he gets excited about it and can't wait till we put the spoon in his mouth.
Our pedi didn't want us to start solids until after Edmund's first surgery and 6 months. He will be 5 months on Friday and will be having his first surgery the following Friday but we will still be waiting until he is 6 months. I will start making some stuff to try and freezing it in the mean time.
We started at 4 1/2 months...our pedi said he seemed ready, and he was showing us all the typical signs they say to look for. But the pedi also emphasized that he continue to get 24-32 ounces of BM a day until 1 year of age, even after introducing solids. So we just do a tiny bit once every 3 nights or so, then I still BF the rest of the time. We started with avocado, then banana, whole grain rice cereal, and sweet potatoe. He has loved all of them.
I kind of wish we had waited longer since he didn't need to start solids yet, but my husband was so excited to start, and since the pedi said he seemed ready so early, I gave in.
