So, turns out we didn't need the induction that was scheduled on Monday.
On Sunday morning I woke up around 6am with moderate contractions. I didn't really think anything of it and was just trying to focus on getting things done before the induction the next day. By the time the Seahawks game was on they were getting pretty close together and quite strong. I showered and got ready and called the hospital to see if I should come in. We went in after the Hawks game and they checked me and I was already 5cm dilated and 100% effaced. Time to get admitted!!
I got checked in around 3 and started the epi pretty soon after. By 1am on Monday morning it was time to push.
After pushing for more than 4 hours and using the vacuum, Baby Mia joined us on 11/10 at 5:12 am. She is a BIG baby and was born at 9lbs 7 ounces. After a 3rd degree tear and a trip to the OR for excessive bleeding from a rip in my cervix we were able to celebrate! It was so worth it.
Still in the hospital but will be going home today. Thanks for all the wishes!!
Re: Baby Mia is here!!
OMG -- Congrats and welcome to baby Mia!!!!!!!!!
Wishing you a very quick recovery!
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
