Breech at a/s?

I'm not worried yet, although I've started thinking about what would happen if our LO doesn't flip, but I was wondering if who else has a little breech baby right now, or did at the a/s.

Re: Breech at a/s?

  • I don't know with this pg, but DS flipped at 33 weeks.  I wouldn't worry for a while.

  • Mine flipped the day my water broke after having my final OB appt.  You never know....
  • Mine's been breech at my last 2 u/s!  They said it's a 50/50 chance it will be breech at this point, and they usually turn around.

  • Mine was breech at the a/s.  My midwife said it's nothing to worry about right now because she's moving around so much.

  • Yeah, I'm not worried, I just haven't seen anyone mention their LO being breech, so I thought I'd ask :)

  • With DD I had an ultrasound around 30 weeks and she was breech. I remember having a little bit of panic in me, thinking I'd have to get a C-Section. But by my next ultrasound (6 weeks later) she had flipped. Totally normal for them not to be head down yet, they have a lot of room and a lot of time to flip!

  • You have a long time till you have to worry about that...your baby is going to do somersaults a bunch of times before settling into heads down and you don't have to be concerned until at LEAST 34 weeks...and they can still turn after that.

Seriously, if ANY of your care providers gave you any reason to worry over this, then they are not very good at their job.

  • I just came back from the ER from pelvic pressure cramps and back pain and the ultrasound showed my baby was breech as well. The doctor said everything looked good right now and just put me on pelvic rest.

I said I wasn't worried, just wanted to know if anyone else was told their LO was breech :)

  • My LO was breech at the a/s as well. I was told that it is nothing to worry about since the baby has lots of time to move.

  • My baby is breech as well.  I asked the doctor if I should be concerned and she said NO!  She said if it is more like 36 weeks and she is still breech then we will talk more.  But its totally normal for the baby to turn between now and delivery time.
