Baby Names

Boy name clicky poll

DH and I are having a really hard time finding a name for our baby if it's a boy. DS#1 is Colin. We like that it's normal but not common. We'd like to find a name based on the same idea, but as you see, that's not the case. So vote, and and if you have any other ideas throw 'em at me. We don't like unisex names. And one of my BFFs just named her son William, but I think they're going to call him Liam.

Re: Boy name clicky poll

  • Love Elias w/ nn Eli.  It was my #1 name choice when we didn't know this one was a girl.

  • I love the name Eli! I'm a believer in naming a child what you plan on calling them, so I think Eli as a full given name is great!

  • Im completely biased bc DS is Eli (that's his full name, not a nickname). I really love it!

  • Here are more ideas. Here are some names I like but DH doesn't or it doesn't go with our last name or we know somebody too close to us with the name or it's too similar to Colin...

  • The only name on your list that is "not common" is Elias. All the other names are top 100 names.

This I know and pointed it out. That's why I'm not super crazy about any of them. I like them, but they're popular.

  • Elias w/no nn. The name is short and great... no need to give him a nn for it. If you want Eli, just name him Eli.

  • I LOVE Eli, but I like having a longer, more formal name and using it as a nn. I like both Elijah and Elias, but slightly prefer Elijah. You could also use Elisha.

  • I chose William, as that is our name if we have a boy, but I do really like all the others!

  • We are looking for the same type of name. Our son is named Liam (getting more and more common unfortunately) and if this one is a boy I think he will be Elliot.

I like Elliot(t) a lot too, but it's becoming more unisex now, which I don't like about it.

  • elias and then michael.

  • Will is obviously my favorite.
    Michael is my second choice.

I'm not a fan of Eli- names.
