Anyone caught the head cold crud yet? I am a kindergarten teacher and am really good about germs, but no matter what you do, they seem to find there way to you! I was hoping I was just fighting off allergies, but (and not to be gross) I now have the "colored" crud!

If you have been fighting the same thing, what has worked for you? What allowed over the counter meds have worked for you?
Re: Head Cold Crud :( Boo
I am right here with you. I woke up this morning feeling worse than I did last night. I am virtually certain I have an ear infection. I never get sick and now that I am pregnant and can't take anything, of course I get sick.
I feel like there is really nothing worthwhile to take that is OTC.
Try a humidifier or one of those Vicks plug ins. They have been working for my daughter. Once she doesn't need them, I plan to sneak them in my room to help with my congestion.
I have it too! Blech!
When I was pg with DS I caught a few head colds and the dr. said each time I basically have to tough it out.
I bought a neti pot, for $12 at walgreens and that seemed to help. I also use a saline spray and drink lots of water. A humidifier also helps. We are buying a whole house humidifier for the winter.
I am convinced that being sick and pregnant is one of the worst things on the planet.
I've got the head cold crud too! I'm visiting my mom in London (I live in Paris) and thank goodness doctors here make house calls. The doc came to see me yesterday and said it was a virus (cold) and there really is nothing that I can do or take aside from staying well-hydrated, rest and I could take some paracetemol (Tylenol) for the aches. But, I'm not planning to take anything at all...except for the rest and water, non-caffeine tea...I was so glad that he heard my Lil' Nugget's heartbeat with his stethoscope and reassured me that this cold won't affect the baby. So, I've been coughing and sneezing and blowing my nose like crazy and warm (not hot) steamy showers. I also use a plain saline spray which seems to help alleviate the stuffiness; I left my Netipot at home.
