2 Questions for you ladies

Hi,

I have been lurking here since going off the pill in the beginning of August.  It's been 92 days so far with no period, no sign of ovulation, nada.  I have been charting, and read TCOYF and just today finally called my doctor.  I was just hoping that my body could get on a regular cycle by itself - guess not.

I was on the pill for about 10 years and before that had really irregular, heavy periods.  Anyway, my doctor wants me to start taking Provera tomorrow (after a negative pregancy test).  She said I should get some ovulation predictor kits and start using them from days 10-15.

 So after this long story, I have 2 questions:

1 - Can you tell me your experiences with Provera?

2 - What is a good brand of ovulation predictor kit to get?

Thanks for your help.  I've been watching some of you go through the same types of issues as me, and it's nice to feel like I'm not the only one.

    I like the clearblue easy digital OPKs. They are a little expensive but they give you a clear answer.

    Can't answer #1 but I get my O sticks from early-pregnancy-tests.com since they are so cheap in bulk, have free shipping on orders over $15 & are quick with the shipping.

    i usually take provera every cycle to induce AF....i take it for 10 days and then AF starts about 4 or 5 days after last pill (but it can take up to 2 weeks after last pill)

    a lot of ladies prefer the opk's with the smiley faces cause they are much easier to read (but they are more pricey). i just got some target brand ones and they were 13 bucks and comparable to other major brands.

    When I took provera the only problem I had was it made me really dizzy, to the point where I had to lay down.  I would take it before bed so that i would go and lay right down.  As for the OPK's I usually buy any brand, but never the digitals yet.  Hope this helps.  GL!

    I've taken Provera to end every cycle.  I also usually take mine at night to counteract any s/e.  It mostly just makes me irritable.  GL!  I hope that is all it takes to make your cycles more regular.

    I just got 50 OPK sticks on ebay for $14 with free shipping. They're the two  line kind...I did like the smiley face kind but they were more pricey.

    I just finished my 5 days of provera on Sunday and I didn't have any problems while on it and I just started AF today. I do think I had an increased sex drive...DH wasn't complaining...and either was I!

    I got my medicine (generics) at Walmart and they were pretty cheap there.
