Override FF? WWYD (Chart stalk)

FF says I O'd on CD 27. But, other than the huge temp drop and temp spike, I feel like I might have O'd on CD 30. My typical O signs (cramping, low appetite, REALLY sore boobs) didn't start until CD 29 evening and got much stronger on CD 30. Also, even though it shows a + on CD 27 (I get false +s all the time, so I kept testing) the test strips on CD 29 and 30 had much darker test and control lines (I use digital CBE for the smileys but I look at the lines b/c of all the false positives). And, my temps post CD 30 are more typical post-O temps for me.

Since FF has given me false CH before I made sure H and I had sex a few other times, so timing would be good for either CD 27 or 30. Do you think it looks like I should override FF? If we had good timing for either day, does it ultimately even matter?

  • That's tough! Do you track CM? Adding that information might help FF decide between the two. Ultimately, it probably doesn't matter since you had good timing for both.

  • As long as your timing was good either way, it doesn't really matter.

Also, are you using a basal body therm? All your temps are flat (to the tenth, not hundredth). If you aren't, I'd switch next cycle (if there is one) as it might help pinpoint O a little more accurately.

  • Yes, I do. I believe it's on my chart but I did mean to mention the little bit of EGCM I had was on CD 29 and 30. Nothing before that.
  • I think you're right -- CD30 is much more likely.  Not because of any of the reasons you said - who can quantify those, but because I don't think the jump on CD28 is significant enough, given what happened on CD29 and CD30.  To me, CD31 is the big enough jump.
