Nurse midwives in Boulder area

Hi out there! I'm 4 weeks along, just confirmed with my family doctor, and am now starting to research OBs and midwives. I'd like to deliver in a hospital or clinic, not at home, but the midwivery approach to birthing really appeals to me. If you have any experience with nurse midwives in the Boulder area, I'd love to hear your suggestions/stories!

  • Hi there! (I'll apologize in advance for the weird formatting, I'm posting from my phone). I switched to the Boulder Nurse-Midwives about halfway through my pregnancy and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. They work with Boulder Women's Care so if you need more intervention it's easy. I loved all of the midwives in the practice and would have felt comfortable with any of them during delivery. I was very interested in having a natural birth and wanted to approach my pregnancy and birth as something that my body was made for and not a medical event. I would love to chat more with you about it, PM me if you're interested. I could go on and on about how wonderful my experience was but it's kind of a pain to post from my phone!
