and this is how i end my week!

got the bill from M's dentist for his 1st appt today with a note that says that he is not covered. so i march down to HR and inquire AGAIN (i asked them before i made the appt and directly after when the dentist tole me they couldn't verify him) if he is on my dental plan. turns out the dentist is right he was never added!

 apparently there is a separate form to add him to my dental plan that 'in all the confusion of a new baby' i never filled out...(direct quote from HR lady) W.T.F.? HR didn't have the baby i did and had i received the form i would have filled it out- like i did the far more elaborate health insurance form. somehow i managed to do just fine with that one 'under the confusion of having a new baby'!

grrrr.

the good news, HR lady says, is that i can add him during open enrollment next month- yipee.. but that doesn't help me come up with the $89 for the bill now does it?

    Oh that sucks!  And I am sure you never did get that form anyway bc I don't think most people add babies anyway.  I know mine was never offered like health insurance was.  I asked about it, and we decided not to add her until she started getting teeth, the following enrollment period.  So she was a little over 1 yrs old when I added her, and her 1st dental appt isn't for another month.
