IUI #3 failed for me which freaking sucks! So now we will be taking a break until November. My doc & I both agree it is time for the lap procedure in order to clean out all my endometriosis. We are scheduling it sometime in November. After I heal from the surgery we will attempt IUI #4. Has anyone had success getting pregnant either naturally or with help after having the lap procedure done to clean out endometriosis?
Give me some hope and positive thoughts please ladies because I have been a heartbroken, ill, angry, negative emotional wreck this week. I try so hard to have faith and stay positive but with every failed attempt at getting pregnant I am sad to say it gets more & more difficult to remain positive. I try to live by the motto I preach to my cross country team at every hard practice "when you feel like you cannot take another step, that's when you run another mile." It can be applied to their training or to life.

Re: Lap Procedure?
Sorry you're having a rough time, IF really stinks. I had a surprise BFP on our third cycle TTC after I had a lap. Obviously I can't know for sure that the lap was what helped, but that was my and my RE's take on it (I had a pretty huge cyst on my ovary that was removed). I think that statistically there is an increased chance of a BFP in the 6 months after a lap.
Good luck, I hope that the lap will help you get your BFP!
After 2 1/2 years TTC, 3 IUI's, endo, and a lap, a surprise BFP brought us Alexandra Marie!
I had a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy in May, and got a BFP August 1. My doc found extensive endo during the lap, and was able to clean the vast majority of it out. We were actually "avoiding" in July, due to my hip surgery, but apparently our timing coincided with an early ovulation. So here we are!
Our plan was to start IUI+Femara+trigger in October after I was fully recovered from hip surgery and rehab.
I wish you the best of luck! A lap can do a lot in terms of restoring normal anatomy, cleaning out tubes, and getting those endo toxins out of your pelvis.
I'm so sorry about your BFN
.
I had a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy onJuly 22. I didn't have endo, but both tubes ended up being blocked. The RE did a recanulazation of the tubes. I got a surprise natural BFP on 8/29!! So anything is possible. This was all after, my prior RE said I would never get pregnant with my own eggs and I needed to look into donor egg. I sure showed him wrong.
Good luck to you!!!!
sorry about your BFN...no personal experience with endometriosis but a good friend of mine IRL got PG naturally their first month trying after her lap to clear the endo.
GL!
we tried for 4 yrs with one early m/c 3 yrs ago. i went to a new dr and he wanted to do a lap exploratory to check for endo and i kept refusing it. we did 2 IUI's and they both failed. i finally agreed to do the lap and HSG. we did it on 5/13 and then did IUI #3 on 6/16 and i got pg with that one! dr told me there is increased fertility for 90 days afterwards and it was true for me. i wish we had done it sooner, but i needed it to be when i was ready, i guess.
GL!
We had 3 IUIs and then my RE recommended an exploratory Lap to check for endometriosis even though I didn't have any signs of having it. He also did a repeat HSG while I was under plus checked for polyps (which I have had a history of having). They didn't find any endometriosis or polyps and we had a 4th failed IUI the following month. We decided to take a break and another 3 months later we had a natural BFP!!
Good luck!!

after 2 IUI's I had my lap last November - they found and removed stage 2 endo. (I didnt really have any other symptoms besides IF and maybe cramps) I did clomid + iui the cycle during my Lap... The next cycle we did B2B IUI #4 with follistim in January. I had a BFP but sadly it ended in chemical pregnancy. Feb cycle we did the same exact thing for IUI #5 - b2b IUIs with Follistim and got my final BFP
