Are you kidding me? I think I, and a lot of other people who have commented on your allowance issue, have been pretty clear about how we view it, no matter the intentions of you or your parents. Did you send the other posters useless emails too? Why do you even care what internet stranger think? You keep coming here with your boohoo childish problems and seem mystified that no one a) cares and/or b) doesn?t cry along with you.
Even when I was working 4 jobs at once I never ask for or got money from my parents, even when they offered, even when they begged for me to move back in with them. Not one dime when I was told I had cancer while I was on unemployment for 6 months and had no insurance and had to delay treatment until I did. MH is in school fulltime, played for by the GI Bill and volunteering in a science lab; we won?t accept money from his parents when we visit and always make sure to buy a cartful of groceries ourselves when we visit. Every month I pay my student loans on three degrees (undergraduate and 2 Masters), again, never asked for help in getting them and still don?t.
Thing is, I am sure all of the above is more normal that you think; it?s how resilient adults are made.
So, yeah, go quit you crappy job that makes you so unhappy for 10 whole hours a week but leave your butthurt over other people thinking that you are inappropriately accepting the money from your parents to yourself.

That's just it- I have a GREAT life...mostly though my own hard work. And I never have to look back on it at any point and think to myself and think that I should have done it better. And I sure as hell don?t look out for fake pity from some kept princesses, either.
Can't PIP or do youtube at work...can I get some Sinatra "My Way" up in here

I wasn't giving you fake pity, I honestly felt sorry for all that you've gone through. I admit my life is very privileged but that's due to my parents working hard to give me the type of life they wanted their child to have. I plan to work hard and do the same for my children. I see we won't agree on this topic, so I'm going to leave it alone.
You what is really sad about all of this? I mean, I pretty much never go on about all of this when talking to my friends IRL, many of whom naturally know about it (and more), but it is hardly the topic of conversation we turn to. They all have their own levels of struggle, some less than others to be sure and I just work hard on being a good friend to them.
But crying in your husband's car (since clearly he had to drive you there, delicate thing, you) over going to work? SHM. I think of all of the things I have shed tears over and I just cannot fathom crying over work and I was in law enforcement during 9/11 and worked the memorial service at Yankee Stadium. Let me put it to you this way: I didn't cry during THIS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGKOtLPMjtI so, screw you bawling about some girls who don't like you. That is some weakass ***.

Why does my allowance bother you so much?
