Okay so we are getting close to chosing our names (team green). I've got a few selections but here are my front runners:
pink- Maeve Nowell
blue- Rainer Nowell
(Nowell is my FIL middle name. We named our first Violet Kavell- Kavell being my Mother's middle name).
Ps. I am aware that Rainer is a beer in the US. Not in Canada. I got my inspiration from Prince Rainer of Monaco. I do like the nickname Rain.
Thoughts?
Re: getting closer- opinions anyway you like please!
Except that it's Prince Rainier of Monaco, not Rainer. I would imagine that those who know of Prince Rainier will assume you DS's name is misspelled...

I don't really know Prince Rainier, just heard the name long ago and liked it. I suppose I should do my research! I guess if I'm going to name my kiddo something I should spell it right!
I need more- why too much? Just too big of a name?
Maeve and Violet do sound lovely together
LOVE Maeve. Rainier...not so much. I think it sounds a bit pretentious...and I'm not a fan of Rain as a nn. They just sound so opposite from one another.
I like the family name as a mn.

The Rainier beer company is named after Mt. Rainier. There are a lot of things in Washington state named "Rainier *Something*" so I wouldn't worry about that.
I like both names!
I've never even visited Washington State (live on the East Coast) and the first thing I thought with the name Rainier was, "You mean after the mountain?"
I am personally not a fan of any of the names, sorry, although Maeve seems to be quite "in" right now and many do love the name.
