Babies: 3 - 6 Months

clothing size at 4 months

Just curious what size everyone's LO was/is in at 4 months.

DS isn't quite at 4 months yet, but he's been in 9 month clothing for about a month. He's a big boy!

  • 3-6/6 months (and I think we are right in the middle of these sizes).  DD will be 4 months next week.
  • My 4.5 month old boy is in 12 month carter's and 6-12 month gap. He was 20 lbs at his 4 month check up.
  • DD was in 3-6 months, with a few 6 month shirts. she didn't switch over to 6-9 month clothes until 5.5 months.
  • I just send DD to DC in a 3 month onesie from target.  (circo)  But, she is in anything from 3 months, to 3-6 months, to 6 months.  Depends on the brand.  She is about 15.5 lbs maybe 15.75, so she is not little, but some of her clothing is still big.  That said, I bought a really cute outfit online for her, 3-6 months and it didn't fit at all.

  • she's all over the place...mostly 3-6, but she can still get away with 3 month pants, but also be ok in 6-9 month tops lol

  • My baby will be 4 months on the 27th and he is still in 0-3 months, might be moving to 3-6  months soon! He's long, but tiny I guess!

  • 3-6 (WITH the bulky cloth dipes to "fill it out"), and still some 0-3 things too. She's on the very small end of the charts (6th percentile) but we're hoping she bulks up soon!

  • DD will be 4 months on the 30th and she is still wearing mostly 0-3 month clothes.  She can wear some 3-6 months depending on the brand it is. She's my little peanut!

  • He's in a variety of sizes. Mostly 3-6, but some bigger 0-3 onesies and pants still fit him and he has a couple 6-9 and even one 12 month outfit that he wears. He'll be 4 months next Friday.

  • Depending on the brand, 6-9 month. They're baggy in the body, but fit shoulders to bum. Our baby is long! :)

  • We just got out of newborn. She's a tiny babe:)

  • Onsies: depends on the brand...some 3-6 and some 6.  she is long...but thin.  they tend to be wider than she needs but the length gets too snug.

sleepers:  depends on brand but 6-9 and even some 12 month..i have to fold the cuff on the arms but legs fit.

  • My DD is a little over 4 months and is in 3-6 months, sometimes 3 month clothing...like others say depends on the brand.

  • She wears 3-6 or 6 months depending on the brand. I can still squeeze her into some of her 3 month clothes, but most of those she has outgrown. She is wearing 9 months in the Gerber onesies we received as a gift but their sizes tend to run small.
    DD1: May 2011
    DD2: February 2014

  • At 4 months she was wearing mostly 3 months and a few 0-3 months.  She just turned 5 months yesterday and can now fit into 3-6 months.

This is DS, but he is only 16lbs. He is long though so smaller sizes are too short in the arms/legs.

  • My DS is 5months and he is in 9m
  • At 4 months, she was wearing mostly 3-6 with some 6 month stuff. Medium Carters pjs and onesies.

ETA: I just packed up all of her 3-6 and washed all of her fall 6-9 and 9 month stuff. She's now in Large Carters pjs. Sniff sniff!!

  • The 3-6 month and 6 month things are just about too small.  So we are putting her in a lot of 6-9 month stuff now.

  • My daughter is a little chunker :-)  She is currently wearing 6 months and 6-9 month things.  However I discovered last night that her 6 month pj's are really tight...so it looks like we'll be moving up to 6-9 month or 9 month things.  I'm hoping she will stop growing so much so she fits into her winter clothes all winter.

  • 9 month? HA! We're in 12 month!
  • DS is wearing 3-6 mo size, but fits better in to size 0-3 mo pants.  FWIW, DS was not quite 14 lbs at his 4 mo check up.

P.S. Your little boy is adorable!

  • Reese just had her 4 month appointment and moved to 3-5 month clothes that day. (Mostly by default, all of her fall clothes are 3-6 and it has been slightly cooler here)

She was 12.5 pounds and 24 inches.

  • At his 4 month appt he was 18.8 lbs and 27 in.  With CDs he is in 9mo carters and 6-12 gap

  • He mostly wears 6-9 month sizes.  What really baffles me is that at the pedi appt, he fell in the 25th percentile for weight and length.  Yet, he's bigger than every baby I see his age or even older.  He weighs about 13.5 lbs.  I guess he's going to take after his dad's shape...wait- I never said that!  LOL

  • In onesies, he's still in 0 - 3, and they fit good, but he also wears 3 - 6 as well, they're just a little big.  0 - 3 pants are way to short, so he's in 3 - 6 pants and sleepers as well.  When he outgrows the 0 - 3 onesies, we'll have to do some clothes shopping since that's most of what he has.  He's about 14 pounds.
