1st Trimester

*brooke* or *ephillips*

I wanted you to see this bc you both said you experienced some bleeding like me.  I posted on the previous thread but I'm a bit Type-A and want to cover all my bases!  :)  Did your doctors call your bleeding anything?  I've looked up decidual  but who knows.  (I believe in being educated when I go into a doctor's office so if you have names I could throw out there and get a yes or no too that would help me a lot!)  Thanks!!!

Re: *brooke* or *ephillips*

  • Hey girl,

I have a friable cervix.  My doctor said some pregnant women have it.  it just means that your cervix is very sensitive so if it bumps something or if I strain TMI going BM, or when I have intercourse I will spot a little bit.  Sometimes it has been pink, but most of the time it is brown spotting.  When my doctor did my pap and all this past Monday that's when she saw it and she said if she just barely touched it, it bled.  My cervix is closed up and all, so it isn't going to harm baby.  Now there is such thing as a friable cervix when not pregnant and that is something different, so if you research be careful you don't look at that one.  It is caused by an STD.  Hope this helps you some.  She said my spotting should ease up after first tri. but no promises.  :)  I hope it does...I just wear a pad now, so I can watch how much I spot, but I could wear the same pad for a few days if it was sanitary b/c I don't spot that much. ha ha ha!  Hope this helps!

  • That does help!  Thank you so much.  I am having a bit more spotting than you are describing, more like a light flow,  but it stays brown and I haven't passed any tissue...just some tiny clots that the doctor said was fine.... I guess I'll find out soon enough.  Fingers crossed!!
