Ok, Camden put herself on a sleep schedule. She goes to bed at 10pm and wakes up at 10am. (Yes I am very lucky). We want to move up her bedtime to around 8:30 so her dad can start putting her to bed, he goes to bed at 9 because he gets up for work around 4am. I've tried getting her up earlier in the morning, but all she does is extend her naps then happily goes to bed again that night at 10pm. Any suggestions on books that may help, or has anyone done this themselves.
If the house ain't burned down and the baby's fed it was a successful day.

Re: Changing bed times
DS used to go to bed at 10:30 most nights. Unfortunately, he would wake up the next morning at 7:30, or 8. I've been turning off all the lights in the house that we aren't using, and putting him in his pajamas earlier and earlier at night, so that he gets sleepy earlier. It's been about a week now, and he's going to bed at 9:30 now. But, he did take a long nap at 7:30. So, he's slowly making improvement.
If you're looking for a book, I know a lot of women swear by The Happiest Baby on the Block. And, there are a lot more you can find on Amazon.
I don't know if The Happiest Baby on the Block would be good for this situation. That book is more about how to soothe newborns. It is awesome but I don't think it would help with this.
I think I would just try waking her up and moving her schedule forward in 15 minute increments every few days. So day 1 she wakes up at 10, day 4 up at 9:45, all naps 15 minutes earlier than normal, maybe even wake him up if he sleeps more than 2 hours, bedtime routine 15 minutes earlier. Day 8 up at 9:30, and so on and so on until you reach the time you want her bedtime to be.
TheBump ate my profile. Oh well. New and improved.
