Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Waking up 2 hours earlier?! Help please!

I know this has probably been covered, but I haven't needed to read them until now...

Our DD, who is 5.5 months, has been sleeping from 9pm till 7:30am since she was 3 months old.  She is extremely routine - eats 6 oz at 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm (with a little oatmeal at 9am).  Lately, she's been waking up at 5:30am and the only thing to soothe her is a bottle.  Any advice to get her to sleep later again??

  • I am no expert and I know it sounds crazy but an earlier bedtime might help. DS goes down at 630 and gets up for the day around 6 am. They are approaching an age when they need about 11 hours at night. Also maybe try some cereal at night. We do a bottle at 3 ish then oatmeal at five then bedtime bottle around 615!

  • I think I'm going to start giving her some oatmeal in the evening starting tonight.  Thank you!
