If you own the stoplight alarm clock...

Does the light stay green all day then turn red at the designated bedtime? If it does, I'm thinking of getting one for DD-bedtime is such a struggle with her stalling things "one more book, one more song, crying freak out". Just thought that when the light turns red, lights go out no matter what.

  • Mine stays red all night, then turns green for one hour after the time I set as wake up time.  It isn't on all day, the red light turns on when I turn it on.

Brianna is a huge staller right now.  The biggest is pee or poop in the potty.  Drives me insane.  I haven't tried the light clock with her, not sure it would work for her.  It works to keep Ty in his room all night and so he knows it isn't time to get up should he wake in the middle of the night.

Yep, same thing...I think we have the same clock.  Gavin stalls a lot now.  We started telling him he has 3 "chances."  If he yells that needs a drink, that's one.  If he wants me to rub his back, that's two.  If he needs to be tucked in again, that's three.  Then we tell him we're going to bed, too, and we're not coming in anymore.  Sometimes it works, sometimes he keeps calling for us, but at that point we just ignore him until he falls asleep.
