what do 3 yo boys like?

I know this was probably asked recently - I'm sorry!

We have a cousin we see about once a year at his birthday party, so I have no idea what he likes in particular.  His party invitation is pirate themed, so that might be one of his current interests.  What's a good 3 y.o. boy gift?

    C is big in to Duplo blocks and Play Dough. Both are great to give as gifts (I think) because they can never have too much.

    I think 3 is supposedly when the Thomas the Train fever hits, too.

    DS is into Legos and superheros right now. He also like sport stuff to play with outside although maybe this isn't the time of year for gifts like that?

    yes, trains, cars, and big trucks are BIG deal to Warner right now.

    do you guys ever go to Child's Play Toys up on Lee Highway? They have a lot of really cool cars and trucks and a ton of train stuff. And it's stuff that you don't find in Toys R Us or Target. also, the people who work there are awesome and if you tell them who you are shopping for, they will help you out big time without being pushy.

    My DS is 3.  He's getting bored with Thomas.  He's all about super heros, Legos, Transformers, Cars (matchbox and the Movie characters) dinosaurs.

    My DS is crazy about trains in general and goes absolutely nuts for Thomas stuff. He is also into duplos, play dough, and cars/trucks. He likes the little "chuck the trucks" you get pretty cheaply at toys r us. Also, anything star wars themed, spiderman, or super hero stuff in general gets his attention.

    Thanks :)  I was going to ask R, but after hearing an earful from a friend about not knowing what to tell people who ask what to get her boys for gifts, I was hoping to avoid that.  Are you guys going to the party?

    Our big guy is in love with Thomas.  Although trains in general are enough to cause pandemonium.

     Our friend's 3 year old is really into fire trucks.

    We will be there! I'm also not really sure what to get him, to be honest. The stupid thing is that she was just telling me the stuff he's into, and I am completely blanking (other than the puzzles).
