Babysitter recommendations in Drexel Hill area?

I am planning on interviewing a few strangers from care.com tomorrow who could be possibilities, but I am still somewhat a wreck over the idea that I don't know these people and how can I after just meeting them and calling a reference or 2 they give me? It's crazy. But, I am really in need of more babysitters due to being on call 24-7...I need options for different scenarios.

 Suggestions for the area?

or general suggestions/advice for adjusting to this idea of leaving my children with a stranger!?!?!?

    I used care.com to find a few sitters.  I did several interviews and like 2 out of 4.  If you PM me I can send you the contact info for the two I liked. I'm in Drexel HIll/Springfield

    I totally understand what you are going through. I worked in day cares for 10 years and 1 year in an elementary school. I'm supposed to go back to work next month, but cry about having to put my baby in day care...I know how cruel some people can be. We need my income...I'm still hoping to find another option.

     I believe care.com does background checks if that helps put your mind at ease.
