black floaters in my vision

anyone have black floaters in there vision? I have had them a few times before but all day today. I havn't had any BP issues at past appointments. I'm unsure if I should call my md?

lurker chime in... i worked in an optometrist office and black floaters were a sign of serious problems. a lot of vision iissues come up while pregnant and while i hope this is not the case for you, i really hope/suggest that you not take a chance and call your doctor. it really is better safe than sorry especially when dealing with your vision, at least imo. sorry for the punctuation and capitolization issues but my phone doesnt like it when i post on tb...

I think you're describing something that happened to me about a month or so ago. It was like when I tried to read text on the tv there was a black spot blocking out wherever I tried to focus. It kept moving and there were multiple floating dots, but anytime I tried to focus on a word the middle would be a black hole.

Very scary. I wasn't having any BP issues and didn't have a headache, so I just laid down for maybe 20 minutes and it went away.

It could be worth a call into your OB just to be safe and see what they say, but I had a blood pressure cuff at home so I took it and since it was fine I figured it was just some weird thing. Hasn't happened again. Hope it's nothing!

I agree you should go in! I had black floaters and thought it was nothing. I went in 3 days later when they hadn't gone away and I had a retinal vein occlusion (blood clot). Very scary.

Not trying to scare you, but funny things can happen and they are ok if you get them checked, you just need to go in!

You are soooooo sweet! Thank you for asking! I just posted an update over there. We had been dragging our feet a bit, but seeing 2 of the couples that were in our class go active has given me the kick in the ass that I needed! I went and met with the social worker and we should hopefully be active by November. So I will be asking for a lot of quick pick me pick me vibes
