Charlotte got her's on Tuesday and now she has hardish little lumps at the injection sites. I want to say I heard that was normal, but I wanted to check with you guys. I called the doc but got the machine so I left a message.
Luke had his shots on Friday, and has little bumps, almost like an allergic reaction, all over that thigh now. I keep putting hydricortisone cream on it, hoping it will go away. Grrrr.,.......
Ben had a huge welt from them this time, but he's been happy, so I guess they don't bother him. Last time there were no marks, but he was a crankass for 3 days.
Thisi is normal, and actually a good sign. The more of a reaction that one has to the shot, the more antigens that are created creating greater immunity against the disease they are being vacinnated against. Now if the child has a high fever or non-stop crying I would call my pediatritian, but some swelling isn't an issue.
Re: Speaking of 4 month shots...
I remember the nurse telling us this was possible at her 2 month shots.
We go for 4 mo. appt & shots tomorrow too! Hopefully it goes like the 1st shots!
