What's the feedback on these two names? One of my best friends loves these names for her future children, and I just wanted to see what people's reactions are to them! Ready, set, GO!
Palmer reminds me of the series Pen Pals by Sharon Dennis Wyeth. My friends and I were crazy about them in elementary school. I was in love with the name Palmer for a few years because of that book. I'm kind of apathetic about it now though, but wouldn't bat an eye if I met a little girl with this name.
Piera looks like the Spanish word "piedra," meaning rock, although it is pronounced much differently. I don't care for it.

Always thought I'd be a "mom of many"--now just hoping to be a "mom of one or two more!"
I don't mind Palmer. But not for a girl. It reminds me of too many things...and none are good. Palm Bay ciders (a popular drink in Canada right now)...the idea that it could be changed to "Palm Her" (sounds dirty)...hmm...not sure what else. Just not sure about it.
I don't like Piera. Not one bit. It reminds me of a woman I knew growing up whose name was Pia. I'm sure that's a legit ethnic name of some sort. Didn't help that her ln was Dickee. I kid you not. Pia Dickee. She owned a boutique of some sort...so that flourishy type of name actually made sense to me.

Palmer as a first name? And for a girl? Wow. This is worse than the Miller girl name post the other day. Palmer is not in the least bit attractive as a name for a girl or boy.
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.

Pia is Italian and take away the name Dickee, I think it's kind of pretty. For some reason Peira takes it over the edge for me though.
Re: Palmer? Piera?
I think Palmer is the next Harper.
I've never heard Piera.
Baby Boy born sleeping at 20 weeks.
palmer makes harper look like the most beautiful name in the world.
and Palmer reminds me of cocoa butter/stretch marks.
LOL I agree, and I don't like Harper.

Palmer is a no.
Piera looks french to me (I don't know French though so take that with a grain of salt)
I would pronounce it Pee air uh. It sounds pretty to me but I know nothing about it.
They are both names that she likes for a girl. And she would pronounce Piera as Peer-uh.

piera is an italian name, I know a couple of women called like that, but IMHO I think is an ugly name
palmer is a tiny bit better, but I still don't like it
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.
Peira sounds like... She-rah with... pee.
What about Kierra instead? Pronounced a little differently but a little more mainstream?
Palmer... sorry just not a fan.
