This is Seriously Never Ending

Betas this morning went up instead of continuing to go down. Of course they would. So I had to go back to the Dr. this afternoon for a 2nd Methotrexate injection. The universe is seriously p*ssing me off and I'd really like to finally have some kind of closure so I can heal and start to move past this.

Sorry I needed to vent for a second and I'm sorry for being MIA recently things have just been crazy. How are you ladies doing??

W/ my ectopic my RE told me that it was normal for the beta's to go up after the 1st metho injection. If they don't go down by the next time, that is the time to worry and they will have to probably take out the tube. Mine ended up rupturing after the 2nd injection, but I don't think my ectopic was "normal" by any means as it took a full 6 months for my beta's to get to 0 after the surgery. I think I was "special", which just sucked.

I'm sorry you had to go through all of that hun I know from experience how terrible and scary a ruptured tube is. They were concerned with my beta numbers because the first set after the first Methotrexate Injections went down when they did them on Sunday to 4400 so they should have dropped even further by yesterday but instead it went up to 4500. So I had to get another injection. I'm definitely going to meet with my Dr. though and asked for the tube to be removed. They should have really removed when the tube ruptured 2yrs ago rather then just removing a piece. ((HUGE HUGS)) to you!!!

Your Beta's are higher than mine were. I think I got to 2200 at the peak, but man it took forever to go down. Between 6 months of blood draws, the 3 failed IUI cycles and IVF, I honestly have no veins left! Stick out tongue

I wish this process was easier, but it isn't. Huge hugs to you and I REALLY hope you don't go through what I did. I hope the Dr listens to you and they just take the tube out. I don't know why they wouldn't. Why risk another ectopic?
