  It is my sister's name, and I have always thought it was beautiful.  It's lovely for an adult, and lends itself to cute nicknames for kids (or adults).  My sis goes by Jocee.

  How are y'all planning to pronounce it? I've heard it pronounced JAHS-lin, JAHS-uh-lin, and JO-suh-lin. I really like it either way. It's nice of you to keep an open mind to the names your husband suggests, but if you don't like it very much then I don't think you should use it.

  Not a fan. I don't like it as Jocelyn, and I HATE Jo- nicknames. JoJo, Josie, Jo. It's just not at all feminine to me and way too harsh.

  I think it's pretty but it does remind me of the verb "jostle." I prefer Jacqueline or Josephine as alternatives (however, the nn's for Jocelyn could be pretty).
