Bella Band Trial Run

Mine arrived in the mail, and curiosity drove me to try one out despite having no need for it yet.

Initial impression: greatest invention ever!  Why did I not know about these before?  It's the perfect solution to my never ending battle with visible ass crack because waist bands are always too big!

Ten minutes and three blocks later: this fvcker has slipped up into one thick roll around my navel, a good five inches above the top of my pants.  Worst invention ever!

I'm guess the roll up won't happen once I've got a belly to hold it in place?

Re: Bella Band Trial Run

  • I used these every day when I was pregnant with my twins because my maternity shirts eventually stopped covering my belly.  By the point I really needed them, I wasn't moving around fast enough for anything to ride up or down.

  • Try folding it.  Put it inside your pants, zip up as much as you can and fold the top over your waist band.  It won't roll up that way, but for me, doubling it up right now is making it a bit too tight.  Maybe that will be better when it can sit below my belly instead of on top?

  • Hmmm, I haven't had that happen, and I don't have too much of a bump yet. Maybe you need to situate it farther down? With mine on and doubled over, I can't really get into my pockets. I think it might rise up if I put it any higher.

  • I gave it a try yesterday and was just as disappointed. All it did was make me hot and extra tuggy at my clothes. Bleh.

That's what I was going to suggest! That's the only way I could wear it last pg. I just skipped right to maternity pants with the BeBand this time.

I'll remember that advice in a few weeks.  Right now, I have several inches of space to go in the waistband of the otherwise-tight jeans I'm wearing, so this was more of an experiment to see how the thing worked.  I had doubled it over and let it cover maybe the top 3-4" of my jeans?  I do walk very quickly and always have trouble with skirts twisting and riding up when I'm powering along, so I must just be a wiggly walker.

This made me LOL bigtime! I can picture my fat arse waddling down the road with the band in the middle of my stomach, my bump hanging out the bottom and my not-so-gigantic bewbs up top.

    haha!!!!!

  • Bella bands are awesome. I won't lie, I'm really not showing yet, but I already broke out the maternity pants.

  • Same thing happened to me.  I thought it would be awesome, but I hated it.  I was constantly adjusting it, which was just annoying.  I gave in a bought a pair of maternity jeans, not because my jeans didn't button, but because the tightness of them when I was sitting was making my m/s 1000 times worse.  All I can say is why aren't ALL jeans made this way?!  No one can tell, and I have never been more comfortable!!!
